5.1. History:
The monument is built to honor the inhabitants – participating heroes to the First World War. Their descendants have built the monument to the heroes in 1924, in the “Assumption” church courtyard.

6.4. Single Object Description:
The monument is made in the shape of a grave at the end of which, a marble rectangular parallelepiped, displaying an ornament suggesting a roman sarcophagus topped with a Celtic cross in the upper area, rises above a rectangular reinforced concrete platform. The grave is bordered by a composite concrete frame.
6.4.1. Architectural Plan:
The grave displays a rectangular architectural plan, surrounded by a composite concrete frame. At the western end of the grave, there’s a reinforced concrete platform holding by means of a stretched out basis, a high rectangular prism, showing ornamental motifs and the names of the heroes.

The West side:
On the marble pedestal, the monument’s date of construction is written, September 1924.
On the high prism façade there’s an ornamental motif like a grape vine, leaves and grape bunches frame. In the four corners there are four cherubim like winged children’s faces. Inside the frame on a flat surface, the names of 30 heroes are written.
Above the prism there’s a capital suggesting a roman era sarcophagus, and in the corners palmettes complete the ornament. These elements are connected by spiraling vines.
Over the capital a cross similar in shape with a Celtic cross, bears these inscriptions on the West side:

- At the intersection of the crosses beams there’s a circular medallion depicting one cherub and around the medallion it’s inscribed: "THE NATION’S HEROES FROM TÂNGANU", under the medallion the years 1916-1919 are inscribed. In the cross’ lower area there’s a disc written "THE GRATEFUL NATION"
The North side:
On the narrow side of the high prism, in the upper area, under the sign of the Malta Cross, 12 names of heroes are inscribed, and lower than that, a name of an 1877 war hero and another name of a 1913 war hero are inscribed.
The East side:
There is no inscription and no other ornamental element.
The South side:
As on the North side, under the Malta Cross sign, 19 names of heroes are inscribed.
