6.2. Description
The monument is a pyramid trunk obelisk with a square base, placed on a platform with three steps. Above it, a bronze eagle, wings outstretched, holding a cross in its beak, stands. The eagle sits atop a sphere and is oriented Westwards. On the south side, names of the First World War dead soldiers are listed; also the author’s name D. Loghin - Bucharest, appears.
On the west side there’s the following inscription:
Under the Glorious Reign of HRM Ferdinand I, for you, heroes of Piscu village sacrificed for the Nation’s Unification 1916-1919
On the north side the names of the 1916-1919 heroes are inscribed.
On the east side there’s the following inscription: "Honor for the Piscu village heroes sacrificed in the 1941-1945 war", and the battle fallen soldiers are listed.
At the obelisk’s base, on the west and east side there are arched niches in the center of the upper area. The first three steps are covered with black sandstone tiles and the rest of the monument is covered with ivory sandstone. The monument is fenced with a metal fence.
