6.2. Description
The monument is placed on a pedestal composed of one step, a rectangle shaped column shoots upward, and above it another horizontal rectangle stands like a capital. On this pedestal a cube is placed and on it there’s an eagle spreading its wings. The eagle is made of plaster and it sits atop a rock, also made of plaster. The rest of the monument is plated with gray granite stone. On the rectangle pedestal there’s a marble plaque inscribed with the words: "In memory of the Petrăchioaia commune heroes fallen on the field of honor during the First and Second World Wars". Above there’s the inscription: Cehoslovacia and the names of the Second World War heroes are listed. Then:
"The Heroes of Petrăchioaia and Stoenoaia 1916-1919" and the heroes are listed.
"The Heroes of Vânători village 1941-1945"
"The Heores of Surlari village 1940-1945"
"The Heores of Măineasca village- young heroes 1941-1945"
"The Heroes of 1916-1918"
"God rest their souls"
Above, on the column capital, there’s a written marble plaque, with the words "NIHIL SINE DEO (Nothing without God)" framed by two laurel leaves. On the pedestal’s sides, there are two banners. The main façade is oriented Eastwards. The alley leading to the monument is made of colored slabs.
