6.4. Single Object Description:
The monument is placed on a concrete platform, on the sidewalk. It’s made of a carved and whitewashed stone pedestal, with one step on its sides, and on the main façade, facing the street, a bronze plaque displaying a high rectangular relief carving, depicting an angel holding a flag in its left hand and supporting a wounded soldier in its right hand. Behind the angel, above his head, there’s a peasant plowing the field. Underneath the plaque, there’s a small upstand, the text “To the Heroes” is written on it. On the plaque we find the name of the author D. Barlos, the year it was made, 1925 and the foundry, AS Arta Română Foundry Buc. On the sides of the pedestal, on the right there’s a marble plaque, inscribed: ”To the heroes of this commune who died in the war for our nation’s unification. 1916-1918” and the names of the heroes are listed, and on the left another plaque is placed inscribed with the names of the person who commissioned the monument and the founder. Atop the pedestal a stone carved and whitewashed cross is placed, displaying a torsade on the edges, and an engraved circle in the middle of the cross. Above the cross, there’s a bronze eagle with wings outstretched. On the left and right of the monument, there are two flags, one is the flag of Romania, and the other is the flag of the European Union. The monument is guarded by a square shaped pipe fence.

The monument is placed on the sidewalk, in a rectangular space, on two sides there’s a metal fence, on the rear side there’s the fence of another space and on the right side there’s a high concrete fence.
