6.2. Description
On a round hone paved concrete base, the monument rises, formed of a two stepped pedestal, two rectangle shaped volumes, the one on the base is larger than the one on the upper side, plated with marble (plated concrete). On the upper area, with three small retreating profiles, the bronze statues is placed, depicting a standing soldier with his weapon close at his side, and in his right upheld hand he holds a banner with an eagle atop, in sing of victory. The soldier is made of black painted bronze. He displays his battle equipment in a glorious demeanor. On the monument’s base area, on all sides, black marble plaques stand inscribed with the words: “Monument erected in the memory of the Glina Commune, Cătelu Village Heroes, fallen during the Nation’s Union War 1916-1918”, a text framed with two laurel leaves. On the basis stand garden pots on all four sides.
