5.1. History
The monument was built during 1910-1916 and renovated in 1932. The renovation was carried out under the former mayor Gheorghe Anghelescu and the notary Al. Niculescu

6.2. Description
The monument is placed on a green square shaped field, guarded by chain and steel pipe pillars fence.
The obelisk is supported by a rectangular stone pedestal, stretched out on the West, North and East sides. The lower area, a third of the total height, is composed of two smaller areas: the lower third is a stretched out base and the other two thirds are a straight rectangular prism. The upper area of the obelisk is a truncated pyramid with a rectangular measuring up to two thirds of the entire height. The passage from the lower third to the upper area of the obelisk is done by cap and congé profile. In the upper area of the obelisk a bronze eagle, wings outstretched, rests on a bronze sphere.
On the North side lies written:
"TO THE HEROES
OF
1877
THE HEROES
FALLEN IN THE NATION’S UNION WAR
OF CREŢEŞTI-SBIRCEA VILLAGES
DURING THE 1916-1919 CAMPAIGN",
The list of heroes follows, and the base there’s the inscription:
"DURIGN THE REIGN … letters barely visible
H.M. KING CAROL … the II-nd
PREFECT OF ILFOV COUNTY
AUREL SOLACOLU
On the East side there are heroes’ names listed.
On the South side lies written:
"In memory
of the braves fallen in
the Independence and
Nation’s Union
War",

In the lower area on an outwardly projected panel:

On the West side, in the lower area of the obelisk there are heroes’ names written, and at the base the inscription:
